Mistwood Forest is a neighborhood community in Richmond, VA. The neighborhood consists of dozens of high-end colonial houses.
BRANDING - Logo Redesign
One of my old coworkers at the Veterinary Hospital happened to be the president of the civic association for Mistwood Forest. She came to me for advice on an updated logo that she can use for the newsletter and pamphlets.

The client suggested I use a color to bring some vibrancy to the logo as it had only been in black and white. I decided to include a gold circle centered behind the tree that can symbolize both the sun and the neighborhood's warm, inviting nature. She also wanted me to have a tree as it is the neighborhood's brand icon. I incorporated a tree into the logo by using it as "I" in "Mistwood."
